Classy Boudoir Photography Behind The Scenes TV Segment

Classy Boudoir Photography Behind The Scenes TV Segment

NBC 6 / Telemundo 51 Miami

Previously we were interviewed by The TodayShow for what I call my “Classy Not Trashy” Boudoir Photography. Just recently we were approached by a producer from NBC 6 / Telemundo 51 Miami to do a full segment regarding this specific form of photography.

Boudoir Photography should force the photographer to create images that flatter their client and do so in a classy manor but over the years I saw so many “boudoir photos” that in my mind did the contrary. I made it my goal to bring the Classy back to Boudoir Photography and it’s my hope this thought can be seen within my boudoir photographs.

Like all other forms of portraiture, Boudoir Photography does allow for surreal themes, playfulness and artistry with styling seen within the pages of todays top fashion magazines.

With a strong collaboration between The Client, My Beautiful Wife, Fabiola, Licensed Cosmetologist / Hair & Makeup Artist and myself professional photographer we create images that are truly timeless.

I’ve been told by clients that our sensual photography sessions are life transforming events and many women have returned years later for followup sessions as a way to document their life’s journey of self discovery!

We are located in Sunny South Florida Palm Beach County but travel the country and even worldwide sharing our gifts.

From Fine Art, Boudoir, Modeling and Commercial Photography project, I would like to welcome all to contact me for more information. Enjoy the segment!

On Location “Run & Gun” Test Hasselblad H4D-40 Medium Format Digital Camera

Run & Gun was my theme – Unlike many, I decided to detach this $27,000 camera kit from it’s umbilical cord and shot untethered with high speed UDMA SanDisk 16gb & 32gb Memory Cards.

At $1,000/hr for location costs, it was both Awe-Inspiring & Exhilarating at the same time! I can not say enough about the team of 11 creatives whom collaborated on this project to make it happen! Thank you all!

This video is simply a fast paced “Run & Gun” depiction of the Fashion Shoot testing the Hasselblad H4D-40 Medium Format Digital Camera. I hope you enjoy it.

As a fashion photographer that absolutely loves working with fashion designers, this gig was a dream. While, being given the opportunity to put the Hasselblad H4D-40 medium format 40 megapixel digital camera through it’s paces in a non-traditional “Run and Gun Style”, “Real World”, “On Location” high fashion photography photo shoot was like giving a kid the keys to a candy store; I’m still on a sensor high! This entire shoot would shot with the Hassy and a back Canon 5DmkII as a control unit!

Run & Gun was my theme – Unlike many, I decided to detach this $20,000-$30,000 camera kit from it’s umbilical cord and shot untethered with high speed UDMA SanDisk 16gb & 32gb Memory Cards.

So …

NO Cables

NO Laptop

NO Pro Lighting (580ex II’s + Pocket Wizards Only)

= Light Weight, Mobile & Tons of Fun!

A full review on my experience with this camera will be soon coming by Press Agent Trevor Current of CurrentPhotographer.com whom flew down to Sunny Miami Florida just to cover this location fashion shoot. Stay Tuned!

The shoot took place in sunny Miami, Florida at Shake-A-Leg Miami Aquatic Center and Marine Academy. How to pick an Actor Headshot or Modeling Headshot Photographer? 2

How to pick an Actor Headshot or Modeling Headshot Photographer?

HINT: ALL ASPIRING MODELS & ACTORS MUST KNOW

When commissioning a photographer, take the time to look at their portfolio, discuss with them exactly what you or the agency requires and for the Love of God, do your due diligence before wasting your money.
If you think (man or woman) you can do your own hair & makeup; SLAP YOURSELF once for being ignorant and twice for being so damn cheap! (Did I say that?… YES! YES I DID…) A hair & makeup artist on location during your session will not only provide you with a better photographic appearance but will also provide different hair do’s and fashion styling which ultimately will benefit you by providing a greater number of looks to proof through once your session is over.

This is a update to the post entitled Actor Actor Headshots & Becoming An Actor; Hope this helps!

Well after going though many shots, LA Actor Benjamin James selected this image to represent himself and as a branding portrait. As discussed, the image MUST

Must depict the actor in his or her best light * You just gotta look good, plain and simple; nothing highbrow here!
Must be Timely * Should appeal to “today’s” Agencies / Movie & TV Producers * Always be hip & in fashion * NEVER look dated!
Must not “LOOK” heavily retouched or altered * How many of you have seen “modeling photos” that look like plastic dolls?
Must have an eclectic essence or mass appeal * You don’t want to ever be pigeonholed as an actor!
Must brand YOU as to who you are or who you aspire to be * Read my Branding Article to learn more about this concept
Once again, becoming an actor is not easy but with strong collateral materials you can reach for the stars.

In an up an coming article I will be explaining what an Actor Portfolio so encompass and why you should have one when courting an acting agencies.

The Creating of an Image & Professional Branding of a Company 2

The Creating of an Image & Professional Branding of a Company

I’m publishing this short entry as a follow up to my previous article entitled ” Professional Branding Portraiture Photography – Ditch the 80’s Real Estate Head Shot “. Let me beginning by giving you some background: A few weeks back the studio receives contact from a brand new company which was in need of a “Look”, a “Brand”, or “Image” to allow their clients to recognize them immediately when seeing their promotional materials.

This strong association between the Company and the Brand is one of the most critical factors when starting a new venture and is so often over looked..
